Legal Consulting Centre is representing parents, whose children were exposed to tuberculosis diagnostics – Mantoux test, resulting in health deterioration of children, in a court dispute.
As the result of Mantoux tests, every child`s organism underwent sharp changes, which led to chronic diseases and currently children`s condition is described as extremely unsatisfactory.
The case is heard in Kyiv Petchersk district court. The defendants are Ministry of Health Protection of Ukraine, Vinnytsya Central regional hospital, Mizyakivsko-Khutiryanska district hospital of Vinnytsya region, Vinnytsya oblast. The subject of the dispute is repayment of material and moral damages in the result of health damage, caused by illegal Mantoux tests, made by medical workers.
In particular, parents claim that the nurses, who did Mantu tests, were not authorized to do such medical procedures related to children; no child had necessary health tests before Mantoux tests; parents were not informed about possible side effects of Mantu tests (in particular, lymphatic and locomotorium damages), which does not comply with present Ukrainian legislation on health protection.
On the part of the parents the representatives are Seniot Associate Oleksiy Ukolov and Partner Igor Okunev.
